Sony: Comics Coming To PSP
Gavin Mackenzie 11:10, Wednesday 8 July 2009

Sony Japan has just formally announced its plan to introduce a comic book download service for the PSP to the PlayStation Store later this year
It’s expected that a similar service will also be made available in the US and, hopefully, in Europe too. Sony market research teams had been quizzing American PSP owners about what they’d think to a service like this back in March of this year, so we’ve been anticipating this announcement for a while now.
“The PSN downloads should be a little fancier, allowing you to pan around the page, zoom in and out”
Unofficial PSP comic downloads have actually been around for years now, mostly for free. You can download them via a PC as a series of images then view them like a slideshow. The PSN downloads should be a little fancier than that, allowing you to pan around the page, zoom in and out, or just set it to auto-flow whereby the PSP just moves from panel to panel automatically.
